See What Was In My Bags #7

Good afternoon, I hope that everyone is enjoying their Holiday season with family and friends.  I am doing wonderful and I am excited for Christmas and the New Year that is hastily approaching.  Whewww, where did the time go.  I haven't done a bag post in a while because of all the hustle and bustle with the Holidays, children and just your everyday normal stuff.  So I decided that I would give you all a haul on some of my recent finds.

See What Was In My Bags #7

2 Hallhuber Skirts
I was able to source these skirts on 1/2 off day at my local TS.  I was almost floored when I saw what they were originally marked.  Let's just say I totally scored with these beautiful babies.

I think I have these moments mentally where while I am sourcing I get focused on one certain section of the store.  On the same day that purchased the two skirts above I also got these skirts.  They are all gorgeous and some more unique than others.

Boden Skirt

Soft Surroundings Tall XL

Capacity Faux Wrap Skirt

Tahari Polka Dot Pleated Skirt

Vintage Maxi Skirt
I feel in love with this skirt the moment that I laid eyes on it.  It was priced fairly reasonable, well maybe fairly reasonable is an understatement.  It was actually priced extremely low.  So surprised that no one had snagged it up before me.

What's a thrift store trip without visiting the sweater section

Debbie Morgan Cardigan

Vintage Best American Clothing Sweater

Vintage Hugs Sweater
Unfortunately this cutie had to be donated because of a small hole.  I know right, I felt the same way.  Well hopefully she'll get in the hands of an amazing seamstress and get repaired.

Lisa Nichols Sweater
The return on this sweater isn't a tremendous amount.  But with such uniqueness I figured why not.  It is always hard for me to refuse flashy, bold things.

Wolford Sweater
Well I sourced this sweater and had no idea when I first picked it up that this was a high end brand.  Looked it up and to my pleasant surprise this brand goes for some high money.  Needless to say I've already sold the sweater and it covered my expenses on my thrift store trip.  WOO HOO!!!  It's always wonderful to have 1 item that will cover all your cost.

And lastly what's a thrift store trip without going by the accessory departments.

Diesel Black Gold Handbag

Now let's talk consignment

I really don't do an extreme amount of consignment.  It can be too much at times, but I decided for this lovely elderly couple that I would.  It's a husband and wife that I truly adore.  He was recently diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis which is terminal.  They are the cutest and sweetest people that you could ever meet.  I had the pleasure of meeting them and through our conversation I told them about my business and they decided that they would like to consign some higher end items.  After going over my consignment speech that still agreed to give it a try.  (I am always afraid that people will be turned off about consigning once they here the truths about it)  Like for example, just because you paid $1000 for an item doesn't mean that you will be able to sell that item for $1000.  That part of the speech is most dreaded part, but nevertheless it's the truth and I have to say it.  Well on to this lovely coat.  This was a custom made piece with a mix of mink fur and leather.  I've listed this coat in hopes that it will attract the eye of someone who has an appreciation for beautiful things!!!

I'd like to wish each of you a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!!!!

Lasting thought:
When you are doing your holiday shopping or shall I say finishing your holiday shopping please keep in mind that life still goes on after Christmas.  Stay on a budget that is suitable for you and yours.  I received a text message from a friend and it read:
When you are shopping for your childern:
Buy something they want
Buy something they need
Buy something to wear
and
Buy something to read

Be Blessed and Happy Thrifting
