See What Was In My Bags #11 Garage Sales & Goodwill 1/2 Off Day

Hello Hello Hello...
Hope that everyone is doing fantastic.  I'm back with a haul from some items that I sourced at a few garage sales and Goodwill over the weekend.  Our local Goodwill had 1/2 off on Sunday in honor of Leap Year.  I was determined to head out and hit up a few Goodwill stores.  I mentioned in one the group which I am a member of, that I am a lint ball away from being buried in inventory.  So nope I did not to go sourcing this weekend but I did.  However I must say that I tried to stick to my philosophy, if it's not going to bring in $25 or better then I am not going to touch it.  For the most part I think I did pretty good with sticking to it.  You will see in this blog that I picked up some duds.   Well let me jump right into it.  Oh yes by the way I tried or shall I say I attempted to make several haul videos and it just didn't work for me.  It was awful.  So as of now I am going to stick with my blog and leave it at that.  Kudos to all those people who make videos!  But anyways let me get right to it.

Ok so while in GW yesterday I saw this exact same Exersaucer.  I looked it over for a few minutes and decided that I better just get it.  The store was extremely crowded and all it would take is for me to spend another few minutes looking at it before someone would come by and snag it up.  I got one of the store clerks to come over and take it to the front for me.  I would have hated to push that thing around in my cart.   Once at checkout I pay for my items and as I am loading it in the cart I realize that it is missing 2 pieces that I obviously didn't see before.  My plan was to put the item in my booth at a local antique/thrift shop that I rent space from.  With these missing pieces I am bummed.  Think, think what do I do?  I could have just returned it since I hadn't left the store but instead I decided to keep it.   Yes I kept it and took it all apart.  See the photos below......

After some research I am able to turn $3.49 into approximately $92.89  That is much more than I anticipated selling it for had it been complete.

See What Was In My Bags #10 Thrift Haul All Under $1

See What Was In My Bags #10 All Under $1

Hello.....  Hope that everyone is doing well.  I am back again with another thrift haul.  The items that I will be showing you were all priced under $1.00 with the exception of one which I will show you at the end of this blog.  All of these items were thifted from Goodwill and/or other various thrift stores in my area.  There is one thrift store in particular in my area that run frequent specials of 50 cents on select women's clothing.  Let me get right into it.......

Brenda French hand loomed Knit Top
The necklace was just a little added bonus to give you an idea how this top could be styled.  I like styling things.  I did write in my description in caps, NOT INCLUDED!

J Jill Top (Plus Size)

CAbi Plus Size Top

J Crew Linen XL Top

7th Avenue New York & Company Sz 14

Old Navy Khaki Pink Flamingo Shorts

Kingdom Couture Disney Parks Top

Eileen Fisher 1X Top

Jou Jou XXL Vest

Nike Serena Tennis Dress

Mad About Scrubs
I couldn't resist this .50 cent scrub top the print was different and the size was all the reasons I decided to pick this one up.  This top is a 2XL.

Skin Gear Leather Trench.  Would you believe I only paid .72 cents for this coat.  Yes you read it right less than $1.  Yesterday I decided to stop at a local church thrift store in my area and they were having the monthly special fill a bag for $5 on all clothing items.  I walked away with two bags and this beautiful coat was inside one of my bags.  I wish you all could have seen me rolling and tucking the corners of this coat to make it fit inside the bag.  I have already listed this coat and I will update you on the final sold price.

Mac + Jac Vest

So all the items above were all less than $1 each.  It is so wonderful to be able to source with prices like these.  With clothes being a heavy hitter in the market, I don't like to spend a wholke lot of money on them.  Some pieces can sit a lot longer than others.  There is no way that I would want to make a huge investment and not see the turn around sooner than later.  So with clothes I like to stay in my comfort zone when spending unless I know for sure that it is definitely a quick and easy flip.

The COMFORT ZONE TALK:
I am willing to source any and everything but I will admit I am a little reluctant to list it once I get it home.  That is my biggest problem.  However I would like to pat myself on the back and say I am getting better and that is one my goals every month.  Get it listed!  I bought 3 bags of plush each bag costing $1.07 for a total of $3.21
I have listed all the plush from the bags that I decided to keep.  The others I plan on donating to a local thrift store.   So let's see what I picked up.....

1st up....
Mary Meyer Fuzz that Wuzz, Wooffzz Dog these sell for around $17 dollars.  There wasn't one exactly like this one listed.  I actually had 3 of these, but two of them had ink marks on them from the pricing pen at the thrift store so I decided against trying to clean them and just kept this one.  I am horrible about cleaning things like this.  If you know of any ideas and or solutions that I could purchase to help clean plush please let me know in the comments below.

Caltoy, hand puppets.  These were in one bag.  I looked them up individually and the red lobster was selling for around $4.99.  I decided to list them as a lot.

Manhattan hand puppets Thought these were really cute and fairly easy to list.

Mary Meyer Marshmallow Owl, I found 4 of these all throughout the three bags.  Each one still has the tag on them.  I think I have these listed for around $16.99 as well.  So if they all sell just on these four alone that would be $67.96.

Jellycat Ltd Hippo.  Had no idea what jellycat was until I got home and did some research.

And this last little guy was TY beanie Vegas the Zebra.  Doesn't sell for an extreme amount of money.  I decided to list him anyway since he is so cute.

So yayyyy to me I am getting better at listing items that I usually don't normally feel are in my comfort zone.  Honestly they aren't hard to list and photographing is quite easy.  So if you are like me just take the plunge and go for it.

So this last item I want to show you I have had for months.  I mean it has literally just been hanging on a hanger in my laundry room.  I don't have any clue as to why it took me so long to list it but I finally did.  There are several listed and that's fine by me.  There is some yellowing to the white area on this jacket consistent with age but overall it is pretty cool.
I have this up for a competitive price and also free shipping, so hopefully it will do pretty good.  This was at the thrift store on 1/2 off day.  It was originally priced at $3.95, I paid 1/2.

Last but not least....
I purchased this dress from an estate buy out.  After doing some calculations, each item was only about .42 cents.   When I originally listed this dress I listed it for $69.  In the first day I had 3 watchers and I instantly said change the price.  But change it to what?  Initially I priced it based on the solds.  I changed the price to $99 with best offer option.   In less than a week it sold for my full asking price .  You just don't never know.  If you have that gut instinct to go higher then go higher because you can always go lower.

I hope that everyone is reaching their own personal goals whether it is in work (business) or your personal life.  Even in the hard times we must not give up or give in.  Falling seven times and standing eight times.  Making the good out weigh the bad!
