How I Package & Ship Clothing &Thrift Haul!

Hello Hello Hello.....
It has been a few weeks since I've blogged.  But I have been extremely busy trying to focus on being productive and getting things done accordingly.  I am also still putting together my wardrobe for this contest for the Salvation Army which ends January 31st.  If you didn't read in my previous blog, my local SA is having a best dress contest in SA attire and the winner will receive a $100 store credit.  They will be choosing two winners.  Keep your fingers crossed I pull it all off and win the $100 store credit.
Okay enough of all that jabber let me get right down to it.  I have been asked about how I package clothing and what packing supplies do I use to ship them out.

I place all me clothing in clear shirt bags, which can be ordered from Ebay

My Options........

Polymailer Bag* the highest cost for shipping is $4.12=13ounces
If the item weighs 13oz or less I will ship in a polymailer bag.

Anything over 13 ounces.  Cost $4.95 Ebay shipping discount
You can order these for free from USPS.com

Anything over 13 ounces.  Cost $5.35 Ebay Shipping discount
You can order these for free from USPS.com

I only use this style mailing envelope when the item or items will not fit in the other two envelopes.  Usually I can put a blazer or jacket inside this style envelope.  These are not flat rate envelopes and the cost is based upon weight and region.  FYI it is costly to ship to the California region so think smart when shipping.  Be cost effective!

I am sure there are other methods but so far this is what works for me.

What I sourced and paid for it!

Mix Nouveau Skirt $1.49

 Moschino Couture Blazer $3.00

Beautiful Beaded Jacket $1
Judith Ann Jacket $1.98

Marc Jacobs Silk Blouse $1.49

Rubber Rain Boots  $2.49

Men's Dress Shirts Fold & Photograph

Hello,
Hope that everyone is well.  As for myself I am doing great.  Thankful and Grateful as always.  Just wanted to share with you my folding process with men's dress shirts.  I am never overly thrilled when I have to prep these shirts for listing.  Most of the time they have to be ironed rather than being steamed.

**Please excuse the color in the pictures my lighting was way off today**

I button the shirt from top to bottom, then I lay it on a flat surface I lay the garment face down.

I use a flat rate or priority mail envelope as a folding guide.  Most retailers have boards almost the same length to help guide in the folding process.  Try centering as much as possible.

Fold one side over.

Fold the other side.

At the bottom do about 1/4 of a fold.

Then do a 1/2 fold.

Remove the guide.

If you choose remove a partial of one sleeve so that only this amount is remaining.

The sleeve exposed, ready for picture taking.

No sleeve exposed ready for picture taking.

Here are a few more shirts that I have done.

**This one is off but it will suffice**

I hope that this was helpful and informative.

All of the shirts were thrifted
Shirt #1 Hugo Boss $1.87
Shirt #2 Hugo Boss $1.87
Shirt # 3 Bugatchi $2.95
Shirt #4 Como $1.00

As always thanks for reading and Happy Thrifting~

Opposites Attract in Timeless Black and White.... Thrift Haul

I love black and white....  Be it stripes, solids, Aztec, polka dots, abstract or geometric prints.  I love the colors black and white.  I noticed that on some recent trips to Salvation Army and some other local thrift stores there were tons of black and white.  So I grabbed what attracted my eye and added to my stock pile of inventory.  Needless to say I have way too much black and white and it's time I unleash the load.  So for the remainder of this week I will be adding all my black and white pieces to my store.  Be sure to check them out at http://www.ebay.com/usr/wear*it*fashion

So today I will share some cool black and white pieces that I sourced!
